A month of Lab analytics: about four visitors. The tools page is crawlable — discovery still is not.

What we did

  1. Pulled Lab site analytics for September into early October instead of guessing traffic.
  2. Checked paths that actually loaded — home, /tools, one edge page, one journal entry.
  3. Kept /tools technically ready — it lists the six public marketplace Actors and links workflow guides back to intent articles.
  4. Named the real gap — owned domain and Search Console close-loop still missing; on-page readiness alone does not create strangers.

What we believed

A crawlable /tools page with honest Store links would start showing organic discovery once the portfolio shipped.

What reality said

Roughly four visitors and about ten pageviews for the window — mostly Taiwan direct or self-checks, plus one US referral from the host. That is not a buyer funnel. Booked Unstaffed revenue for the day stays exactly $0. Honesty first: crawlable ≠ discovered.

What changed

Treat discovery (domain + Search Console + entity/hub) as the bottleneck, not another on-page score chase. Do not invent organic growth or rankings from technical readiness.

Explicit non-claims

  • Lab ≈4 visitors / ~10 pageviews is measurement, not a customer funnel.
  • Revenue booked for the day is exactly $0.
  • No paying customers.
  • No organic ranking, search-traffic, or stranger-demand claim.
  • Store counters and owner self-tests ≠ paying customers.
  • Unstaffed stranger purchases remain $0.
